IHRIM is a multi-disciplinary (philosophy, French and foreign literature, musicology, theatre studies, history of art, history of science and technology), cross-secular research unit (16th-20th centuries).
IHRIM intends to assert itself, through its critical mass and the strength of its structure, as one of the leading teams in social sciences and humanities at national and international level. Proud of its heritage, it aims to pursue its projects about the history of books and edition ; the history and imaginary of science and technology; standards, canons and their critics; the history of philosophical, political and social doctrines of modernity; the arts: discourse, forms and practices.
